SURPRISE!
Jackson and his grandpa..so happy!
Hangin with an elephant in the lobby
Yesterday I got a text from my dad that stated he was in town (Dallas) for a work conference. What a great surprise! Even though Thursdays are school days for Jackson I asked if he wanted to see Jackson after school. Of course I should have already known the answer!!!
So after I picked up J from school we headed to the Anatole downtown to see Grandpa! Here are some photos I captured of them as you can see Jackson was in PURE heaven to see grandpa!
It really was an extra special surprise, thanks Dad for making Jackson's day that much more special!!! It was great to see you, we love you!

Roller Skating Take 3!
Gavin Jackson and Brayden before the fun began!!
So today we had a fun play date with our neighbors and good friends the Williamson twins, Gavin and Brayden! We have been roller skating before but this time Jackson got to go with two of his favorite rough and tumble little buddies, I knew he would really enjoy it. Bonus was we had the WHOLE rink to ourselves since it was a Friday morning at 10am. The boys loved it!
We will definitely be going back!
Check out the little buddies, will love to look back at these pictures when they're older!!
When dad is away...Jack and mom take a trip!

Sept 9-12, 2010
So, the season has come along for Jeff aka dad and hubby to devote some much needed time to one of his favorite past times; dove hunting. Every year, September comes along and Jeff gets to unwind and hang out with his buddies and hunt. This means (for now anyway) that me and Jackson hang out on the weekends and typically get to see more friends or grandpa or grandpa. Well, on this particular occasion we took a short road trip to Austin to see grandma and grandpa and Jackson's cousins Austin and Noah. We had a blast. I got to get my hair done which was really a high priority of the trip and let's face it since I had our #1 care takers of Jackson available I utilized them and had some "me" time as well!
We got in on Thursday after Jackson's first day of school and Grandma, J and I went to eat at IHOP while Grandpa waited to get the A/C fixed out at their house. Jackson was EXHAUSTED after a day of NO nap at preschool and then a 3 hour trip to Austin. He went to sleep early that night.
Friday we woke up early and went to the salon to get my hair colored and cut. I also had my stylist "style and re shape" J's hair as the pictures demonstrate. He normally doesn't mind getting his hair cut at "his" kids salon here in Dallas, but since there aren't or weren't any lollipops here at my salon he was a little more unsure if you will..we then followed that up of course by seeing Grandpa for lunch! What a treat! We then headed back to my parents house and took a much needed nap! Later that night I had some girl time with some friends of mine and Jackson got to spend some quality time with Grandpa!
Saturday we went to the gym with my brother and the boys and Jackson played with them in the care center while my brother and I took a spinning class. After wards I took Jackson to his true first tailgating experience. It was fun but SO HOT! We met up with some friends and then left b/c J was about to melt from the ridiculous heat! Go horns they did win that night!!
That following Tuesday was my dad's birthday so my brothers family and Jackson and I took my dad and mom out to eat early for his birthday at Salt Grass!
Whew what a weekend it was and SO fun. I love it that we make so many great memories with Jackson at this age it's so fun to see him growing up and learning new things everyday!
We headed back to Dallas after Sunday lunch and spent the rest of the day hanging out with Jeff. He had a great and much needed trip with his friends so glad he was able to have a fun weekend himself!

September 9, 2010
Well, today was THE day! The day that I've almost been fearing yet gearing up for all of my son's life! Yep, the first time he is away from me for an extended period of time. He's ready though, beyond ready and honestly as much as I hate to admit it, I am too. He LOVES meeting new friends, playing, socializing and learning! What better experience is there than preschool at this wonderful age of 3.5? I choose this particular preschool as I have heard SO many great things about it, mainly how the kids learn about our Savior Jesus Christ!
The good news is now that we're 3 days into it (he started Sept 9th), he goes T/TH and he LOVES it! His teachers Mrs Karen and Mrs Jeresha absolutely adore him and I believe he loves them just as much! He's already made plenty of artwork for me and daddy, our little boy is growing up!!
