Tonight Jackson was SOOO excited to participate in trick or treating. He knew he was getting candy (chocolate bars) and getting to hang with his friends and neighbors. He was already practicing what to say when approaching each door with his dad. Jackson would open the front door and Jeff would ring our doorbell and Jackson would answer. Jeff would say trick or treat and Jackson would hand Jeff a chocolate bar. It was so sweet. One of those type of memories that I for sure wanted to document b/c I know he won't EVER believe us when we tell him how he was at 3.5. :)
He was also very matter of fact about not wanting to scare people when he put down his ironman mask. He would lift up his mask and say trick or treat while practicing. However, he was waaaay to excited during the real thing and left his mask down, fortunately he didn't scare too many people away and they graciously filled up his ironman basket. His dad is very happy. :)
Overall we had a fun halloween with our neighbors who hosted their 2nd annual chili fest at their house and of course had a tv outside for us to watch the Rangers play the 4th game in the world series. Unfortunately, they lost, but overall a great and fun night was had by all.
Of course as always, please enjoy the pics!!
OH and PS. I was able to make it to church this morning and it was SO refreshing. I REALLY missed it and will be going back!!! :)
Nice and comfy...really I think it was the Rangers who put him to sleep
All tuckered out..
A shot w/o the mask
Couldn't get to the houses fast enough!

Checking out ironman..again.
All 3 finally looking at the camera!
Still looking at Jackson
Batman didn't believe that Ironman was Jackson and kept trying to take his mask off!!
So funny!

Friday's friends...
Friday October 29, 2010
Today we were supposed to go out to the Flower Mound pumpkin patch again with our friends and neighbors. However, when we woke up we realized the weather was only in the 40's and thought we should change plans, no reason to freeze! We ended up going out to my friends church and her twin sons school. It's here in Frisco and free! We pulled up and ended up being the only ones there as it didn't open until 1 and it was only 10:30! Oh well, we pulled it off by making it a chance to get some last minute fall pictures by ourselves and let the boys run off their energy!
Here are some shots we took of course! Enjoy!

Preschool Fall Celebration!
October 28, 2010
Today was Jackson's fall festival party for his class. I am one of the classroom mom's and so helped arrange the party and made sure there were plenty of snacks to be had and fun activities to do! Jackson had a blast and I made sure to get a picture with his buddy Blake that he always talks about when he comes home. "Mom today Blake and I chased each other on the playground." I love hearing this b/c he loves to play chase and he made a friend! I did notice that he did have some other buddies in this class as well, can you believe there are 9 boys and 4 girls!?! Crazy. Poor teachers. But seriously, his teachers are a God sent. They are so patient and loving with these kiddos and Jackson absolutely adores Mrs Karen and Mrs Jeresha, he LOVES going to school. It truly is an answer to prayer that his FIRST year in preschool is going so smoothly!
Of course here are some photos or 10 that I had to take, you know I wasn't the only mom in there shooting away! We had a blast and I love hearing Jackson say "Mom today was SO fun!" Makes my heart smile!
I asked Jackson to pose one last time...:)

Grandma and Grandpa-To the Rescue!
October 23, 2010
Jeff's friends had a big birthday party scheduled for Saturday and it was a slumber party. So grandma and grandpa drove up to Dallas to save the day for us and babysit Jackson overnight. Of course it was a win win especially for Jackson, he got his buddy grandpa to play with all night and grandma to spoil him rotten!
Thanks so much mom and dad for helping us out and coming up to entertain our little man. He loved it and we were able to have a great time with friends!
Of course here is the section of adorable photos!
Mr Serious at our park playdate. Our friend Michelle organized a fun halloween trick or treat family playdate on Sunday. So grandma and grandpa followed us there before heading home. Jackson of course had more spoiling by getting pushed on the swing, nonstop attention and most importantly ICE CREAM AND CANDY!!!

Ft Worth Miniature Train and Zoo
October 20, 2010
Today we went to Ft Worth to ride the Ft Worth Miniature Train that is located right by the zoo. It was SO fun and SUCH a beautiful day for it, Jackson adored every single minute of it!
I wish we would have found it sooner b/c it really is a fun time on days in the fall and early Spring. It's a 45 minute or so ride where the kiddos can see the lakes with turtles and other little fish on the way. At 3.5 yrs old it really is a great adventure for the kiddos, we will be going again soon!
After the train ride was complete we headed over to the Zoo. Jackson and his little friend Ian had a blast together running around the zoo, looking at the animals and getting their energy out!
The Zoo has a new exhibit this year for reptiles. It's amazing. So many different species of reptiles to see and even PET! There is a table in the middle of the exhibit where a zookeeper stands with an animal. When we passed by the first time he had a tarantula and two stick men which Jackson LOVED and kept trying to pet. The zoo keeper held the animals at bay though as you never know how animals will react to a 3.5 yr olds not so gentle touch. On the way out of the exhibit there was another animal on display, a "milk" snake! Jackson has never touched a snake before so he was amazed to get up close and personal and to pet it of course! What a great day for learning and discovering new animals with fun friends! We will hopefully be going back soon!
Enjoy the pictures!
BTW..Jackson was really not in the mood for pics on the train which is why you don't see a lot posted from the train..oh well!
The Ft Worth Mini Train, so fun!

October 13-16th
Well, what a great mid week, short weekend trip to Austin first then Alice, Tx! Jeff had meetings in Austin with clients on Thursday/Friday so his two sidekicks joined along for the ride of course!
We stayed with Grandma and Grandpa in Austin while Jeff worked and visited with Grandma and Grandpa and Jackson of course had plenty of time playing with Grandma on Thursday morning while I went and had my hair done ( of course)! Have to take advantage of my time when I can! Thursday evening we were invited to go and watch my nephew Austin perform to claim his first "white" belt! It was so exciting and his brother and cousin were both there of course to support him! He did GREAT!
Friday we had lunch with Grandma at work and then picked Jeff up and headed out to Alice to see Mimi and Papaw. Bonus was we were able to see Brad and Stacy and Dalyn (Jeff's brother and his family)! Jackson thoroughly enjoyed this visit as well as Jeff's parents have a farm just outside of Alice in Agua Dulce. There are horses, donkeys, alpaca's, llamas, and cows AND they're all miniature!! Get ready to be bombarded with PLENTY of pictures taken throughout this visit! I have to play catch up since I haven't posted since last Monday!
One last important note, Jeff's mom was recently diagnosed with cancer in June and is now treating this cancer with chemo. She still looks wonderful and her spirits are strong, she is ready to fight this and I know she will! We love our Mimi and know that God's will will pan out for her, she has many many people praying for her daily. It reminds me of my favorite verse:
Phillipians 4:13
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Here are the mass of pictures captured on this fun trip!
